First Love – Cover by Ken Hirai

Translated lyrics:

Once in a while
You are in my mind
I think about the days that we had
And i dream that these would all come back to me
If only you knew every moment in time
Nothing goes on in my heart
Just like your memories
How I want here to be with you
Once more

You will always gonna be the one
And you should know
How I wish I could have never let you go
Come into my life again
Oh, don’t say no
You will always gonna be the one in my life
So true, I believe i can never find
Somebody like you
my first love

Once in awhile
Your are in my dreams
I can feel the warmth of your embrace
And I pray that it will all come back to me
If only you knew every moment in time
Nothing goes on in my heart
Just like your memories
And how I want here to be with you
Once more
yah yah yah

You will always be inside my heart
And you should know
How I wish I could have never let you go
Come into my life again
Please don’t say no
Now and forever you are still the one
In my heart
So true, I believe I could never find
Somebody like you
My first love
oh oh

You will always gonna be the one
And you should know
How I wish I could have never let you go
Come into my life again
Oh, don’t say no
You will always gonna be the one
So true, I believe I could never find
Now and forever

10 Principles To Achieve Success (Plus One More Bonus Tips)

Success is not just reserved for a chosen few. Everyone, yes everyone, has the capacity to be successful in every area of his or her life. Success results from cultivating certain habits and sticking to them.

Consistency is a must. Successful people have a certain type of personality. Successful people think in a particular way, talk in a particular way and act in a particular way.

Do you want to be successful too? Here are 10 principles of success that are bound to help you if you follow them.

1. Develop a clear vision of what exactly you want to achieve in your life. Carry this vision in your mind at all times. This is the starting point to success.

2. Believe without any doubt that you will achieve your dreams.

3. Stay away from negative influences such as negative people, books, articles, etc. Surround yourself with things that boost your belief in yourself and your future success.

4. Take responsibility for your future. Do not depend on anybody. Take responsibility for your life and don’t doubt success.

5. Make a habit of repeating positive affirmations. Speak out your affirmations in present tense as opposed to future tense. Writing down affirmations is even more effective. This helps your mind stay fixed and focused on your goals. This is also a good way to build your self-confidence and deepen your beliefs.

6. Make a firm commitment to action. Once you decide to take action, stay committed and never give up! Once you deter from commitment, your belief becomes shaky and unstable. If this happens, your efforts will collapse like a deck of cards. You will have wasted all the time and energy you invested in your efforts. So stay committed.

7. Set a specific goal. If you know what you really want to achieve, you need to define it by making it a goal. Set specific goals. Your goals should be precise, measurable, realistic and timed.

8. Work out a plan of action. Break down your plan into smaller tasks or units. Do your task in smaller steps. Take one step or two each day while reminding yourself that each step is taking you closer to your goal. Your actions should be filled with faith, determination and purpose. Consistency is vital to reach your goal.

9. Never give up until you have achieved what you desire. Persistence is the key to success. Treat every failure as a learning opportunity. But push yourself towards your goal with stronger faith.

10. Maintain an attitude of gratitude, realizing that your dream is becoming a reality. Look around you and be grateful for things that you already have such as a home, loving family, etc.  Just stay grateful.

(BONUS TIPS) Be a giver – give your time, money and service to others. Be kind and generous to all.

Now you know the principles of success.  Act on it with faith and persistence – and never give up!

5 Bintang Untuk “Pisau Cukur”!!! :-D

Mula2 malas giler nak keluar rumah gi tengok movie ni, tapi tak lama lepas post v-blog pagi tadi, kebosanan melanda dan terus paksa diri bersiap dan pergi menonton “Pisau Cukur”.

Well….what can i say about the movie??……IT WAS AWESOME!!!! :-D

Seriously, for a Malaysian production, this movie is really really good. It was actually a CSI-like movie…i thought it was just going to be all-about-gold-digger show….but, it turned out to be a funny detective movie…i loved it!!!

Perfect story line….funny as hell….decent acting from the casts….no anak-mami-like-malay-movie-cliche whatsoever….

In my opinion, Fazura was the star in this movie….she did a “home run”….she really delivered it….Maya was just OK….the new comer, Shahredza was really really good too….even better than Aaron i think….

If you have time to spare this weekend, go and see this movie….you’d love it….i certainly had a great laugh in the cinema just now :-)

My favorite line : “I nak pergi ‘memancing’ lah. Agak2, ader ‘ikan besar’ tak dekat sini?”…”Jom kita cari???!!!!” Lawak habis ah…

5 stars!!!!

The Brighter Side of Facing Obstacles in Life

Have you ever noticed that every challenge also contains a blessing in disguise? If not, you may not have been looking closely enough!

It’s true that difficulties and challenges often seem like inconveniences when they get in the way of something you want. When you’re working toward goals that are important to you, the last thing you want is to face a big challenge or obstacle because it usually means that your desired outcome will be delayed.

However, if you learn to see challenges in a new light, they can easily become the best things that have ever happened to you.

Below you’ll find 5 questions you should ask whenever you find yourself facing challenges:

1. What Can I Learn From This?

Too often we view challenges as annoyances or personal vendettas, when in fact they may hold a great opportunity to learn and grow! If you start by asking what you can learn from each challenge, you’ll suddenly see them as possibilities that pave the way to greater wisdom and self-mastery.

2. How Can This Strengthen Me?

One major reason why challenges intimidate us is because we don’t feel capable of handling them. We have a limited perception of our own abilities, so we automatically believe that the challenge is bigger than we are. However, if you learn to see challenges as an opportunity to become stronger and more empowered, there’s no way they can hold you back!

3. How Can I Use This to My Advantage?

Most often we see challenges as disadvantages – but is that necessarily true? A challenge can often help you see that there are many possible ways to achieve a goal, and the one you’ve chosen may not necessarily be the best one. Asking this question can often open your mind to alternative routes that may be shorter or otherwise better in some way.

4. How Can I Use This to Help Others?

Though we often believe our goals affect only ourselves, more often we have a huge impact on the people around us too. Not only do other people watch what you do and how you live your life – they often model their own behavior after yours! If you refuse to let challenges intimidate you or slow you down, you just might inspire and motivate others to do the same with their own challenges.

5. What Would Make This a Worthwhile Experience?

Sometimes just being willing to recognize that a challenge may not be such a bad thing can be enough to help you realize all kinds of wonderful benefits from it. This question does a couple of things: first, it helps you feel more empowered because it affirms that you have a choice in how you react to the challenge; and secondly it reminds you that every challenge holds the seeds for unlimited blessings and opportunities.

I Need To Learn This! :-P

As a preparation before going to Japan next year….hehehe…gotta learn how to sing “Mary had a little lamb” in Japanese… :-P

Cory would surely appreciate this effort…or maybe might end up making fun of me…LOL!

Damn, you’re so lucky… :-P

Discover Your True Self (Part 2)

Morning all,

I don’t think i have said everything that i wanted to say in “Discover Your True Self Before Pursuing Fame Fortune”. So, i’m going to continue with the topic here….

People often have mistaken “self discovery” with “self recognition”. Self recognition is simply knowing who you are more on the outer surface; like i recognize myself as a Malay guy who has a degree in Chemical Engineering from United States and currently working as an Educational Consultant. Self recognition is more determining yourself based on your possessions, accomplishments and achievements.

Self discovery on the other hand is unwrapping who you truly are has a person. It is deeper than the outer layer. It involves your spiritual beliefs, your characteristics, your unique personality and your core values.

Embracing yourself through just “self recognition” would be disastrous. People often tend to change their perspectives and attitude after accomplishing success. Let’s face it, that is very true. We all can easily get arrogant and self-absorbed after achieving some amount of success.

Once we reach certain wage level, driving Perodua MyVi doesn’t seem so appropriate anymore…moreover, it could be embarrassing. After getting a promotion to be department manager, wearing G2000 to work seems to be so lame, and Banana Republic suddenly looks so tempting and affordable. Like others could see the difference between G2000 and Banana Republic.

Hence, keeping the posh yuppie lifestyle becomes harder and harder….we are always willing to spend alot of money to appear superior to others.

If we embrace ourselves through “self discovery”, we (in a sense of personality) on the other hand will become constant at all situations. No success and fame could make us ‘losing ourselves’. That is what i call a true genius: being able to always be who we really are despite many many surrounding temptations. No co-workers can make us feel embarrassed wearing discount shirt to work so that we could save more for our kids’ education, no buddies could talk us into buying bigger car if we don’t need to….

Like i said in the first part of this topic, self discovery is eminent…everyone SHOULD go through it. If you’re already above 30 and you still don’t think you have found your true self, then by all means induce the process. Take some time off from work to reevaluate yourself….buy self help books….reconnect with your hobbies….anything…anything that would help you finding yourself.

A man travels the world over in search of what he needs and returns home to find it. – George Moore

THE END

Discover Your True Self Before Pursuing Fame and Fortune

I seriously spontaneously got the idea to write about this topic while i was in the shower earlier. Seriously. So, here we go….

Self discovery is eminent. It can be spiritual. Everyone will experience it. Wait, scratch that, everyone SHOULD experience it, regardless of anything. One can impossibly be his/ her best being without self discovery.

What is self discovery? Self discovery is simply finding your truest individuality. It’s just that. Notice that i didn’t use any jargons in the definition. Self discovery is rather a simple concept but the process by all mean is not!

I truly absolutely believe that no one…and i mean NO ONE can handle fame and fortune (which are the 2 most common things associated with success) without knowing his / her true self. To me, achieving fame and fortune without knowing who i really am would be an amateur success…wait, it’s not just that, it also would be a HUGE disaster! No one can really enjoy success without having a firm grip to his / her individuality and personal values.

A perfect case study to portray what disaster fame and fortune might bring without self discovery would sadly be our World No. 1 Pop Princess, Britney Spears. She got the biggest fame and fortune (that others can only dream of) at a tender age of 16. Hell, i was scratching my head doing Math homework when i was 16!!! However, Britney got it all at 16…she really got everything…except for one thing : her self discovery. She was enjoying her success without knowing what the heck was really happening in her life. Consequently, at the age of 26, she already divorced twice, had 2 kids…and oh yeah, being treated as a mental case!!!!

See….money and other success mean absolutely NOTHING if you don’t know who you really are.

Some people are lucky. They found their true selves very very early. Even luckier, the process was easy too.

However, for alot of people, self discovery usually happen after some tragic and life-threatening drama. Many cases we heard that people found their true individuality through divorce, break-up, bankruptcy, cancer, tragic car accident, death of loved ones, losing job and many more.

Whatever the process is, one thing should be kept in mind…DO NOT resist or run away from “Self Discovery”. Living our lives without knowing who we really are, is like driving a Ferrari at 40 km/hr. You won’t be able to surface your full potential without knowing your true self. Trust me, it’s very very true.

Have i experienced my “self discovery”? Hell yeah!!!

How did it happen? Biarlah Rahsia :-P

Who do i think i am as a person?

I am a smart, kind, often self-less, timid, humble, caring, polite, funny, sensitive guy with incredible amount of determination and inner strength and tremendous talents to match.

….and oh yeah, i am FA-BU-LOUS too! *sambil petik jari dan geleng kepala ala2 Queen Latifah…tetiber jer :-P * LOL!!!

Think hardly about this issue, my friends…sleep on it :-)

Let Your Gratitude Improves Your Attitude

Few things can affect your overall quality of life as powerfully as your attitude can. Your attitude affects your career, your relationships, your hobbies, and even your financial status. Most people discover that when they improve their attitude, everything else in their lives seems to improve also.

A daily practice of gratitude is one simple way to give yourself a painless attitude adjustment because it reduces your temptation to focus on more “negative” mind-sets. When you feel grateful it is nearly impossible to feel frustrated, sad, empty, or disconnected. A negative focus and a gratitude focus cannot co-exist! They are opposites and will repel each other.

Here are a few suggestions for using gratitude to improve your attitude:

1. Use gratitude to blot out unproductive feelings.

Sometimes we just get into a “funk” without knowing why. We wake up one morning and realize that we’ve lost our zest for life and a numb disinterest has taken its place. To turn this around, find something to be grateful for. Just one tiny thing is enough! Begin focusing on this thing as often as you can during the day, but most especially when that feeling of boredom or disinterest comes over you. Let a feeling of strong gratitude flood through your body, and you will shift to a more positive attitude almost immediately.

2. Begin expressing gratitude for the people around you each day.

Is your co-worker driving off the wall? Find one thing about him / her you can be grateful for, and focus all of your attention on that when you start to feel annoyed. Remind yourself that everyone has both positive and negative personality traits – and you will encourage more displays of whatever you focus on! Focus on the positive traits of the people you encounter daily and watch as it transforms your interactions into mutually beneficial connections.

3. Become an optimist with the help of gratitude.

Do you find yourself in the habit of always expecting the worst? When you become aware that you have shifted into a pessimistic mind-set, consciously choose to shift into grateful optimism. For example, if you catch yourself saying something like this, “My boss doesn’t appreciate anything I do so I probably won’t get a raise this year” – stop and turn that thought into something like this: “I always do my absolute best for the company, and my commitment to excellence will reap great rewards. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to shine every day.”

The results you get from these exercises may not be too obvious at first, but as you keep up with them you should begin to see a big difference in your attitude. You’ll find yourself feeling lighter, happier, and automatically finding things to be grateful about all the time.

Typhoon Thursday

Today will be a hectic day for me….good but hectic…

I couldn’t sleep very well last night because i had a really bad stomachache. Therefore, i’m a tad sleepy now….

Until then, take care! :-)

Too Many Things For Only One FAZDLEE :-P

I HATE being stuck with only one title…like “I am an engineer.” That’s it????

I don’t want to be just one thing. Why settle for one when i can be everything???!!!!

There are so any thing that i would like to try besides working for Ardent Edu :

1) I really would love to be a part-time columnist for a newspaper. I know i have decent skill in writing. I know my writing style is good. I always fantasize having a Sunday column on local newspaper where i can share my point of view regarding all sort of things.

2) I want to be a well-known motivational personality….like Dr. Fadzillah Kamsah. I love to talk and give advise…i know for sure i’m good at it :-)

3) I want to be a multi-skilled designer….not just graphic designer. I wanna be able to decorate spaces, design t-shirts and clothes, etc.  I want to be All-In-One designer!!!

4) For a short period of time earlier this year, i thought i wanted to do acting as well..LOL!!! Well, i know i nailed the audition, but the production was being put on hold….until this date….huhuhu. Not sure whether i want to do it anymore. Maybe NOT!!!! Regardless, i’m still a drama king…at least on my own blog…LOL!!!

5) I want to have my own products and shops. I wanna be able to put my name on something….like making my name as a brand. That would be freakin’ sweet!!!! I’m thinking urban male casual clothing line. Possible?????

Will Allah give me a chance to do all that? I guess it’s too early to tell…it’s still along road for me, i hope…perjalanan masih panjang kalau umur saya panjang

NOTE : Next year, i’m going to launch yet another side business that i’ve been planning for soooo long. Insyaallah, if i have extra capital, i’m going to launch it. Hint : FASHION FROM THE USA!!! :-D

I <3 Maroon 5 :-P

I love Maroon 5 even before they became famous. I still remember there was one time, i went around telling my friends about Maroon 5 and they didn’t care much about it. I bought their first album and my friends said i had a weird taste in music. Months after that, Maroon 5 sored all radio speakers in the world. Hehehe…

Of all their songs, i particularly LOVE “Nothing Last Forever” from their second album. This song meant something to me back then…and means something now as well….

I know i posted this song a few times in the past, but i want to post it again. This one is the live version…

Just love this song….means a lot to me personally :-S Menusuk kalbu….huhuhu

My song of the day….been listening to it since morning…over and over…i can only wish to write lyrics like that…excellent writing and kinda deep!

Read the lyrics carefully line by line..and you’ll know it’s an excellent writing…my favorite verse:

If you don’t know
Then you can’t care
And I show up
But you’re not there
But I’m waiting
And you want to
Still afraid that I will desert you

Anyway, enjoy the song…yet again :-P

It is so easy to see
Dysfunction between you and me
We must free up these tired souls
Before the sadness gets us both

I tried and tried to let you know
I love you but I’m letting go
It may not last but I don’t know
Just don’t know

If you don’t know
Then you can’t care
And I show up
But you’re not there
But I’m waiting
And you want to
Still afraid that I will desert you

Everyday
With every word whispered we get more far away
The distance between us makes it so hard to stay
But nothing last forever, but be honest babe
It hurts but it may be the only way

A bed that’s warm with memories
Can heal us temporarily
The misbehaving only makes
The ditch between us so damn deep

Built a wall around my heart
Never let it fall apart
Strangely I wish secretly
It won’t fall down while I’m asleep

If you don’t know
Then you can’t care
And I show up
But you’re not there
But I’m waiting
And you want to
Still afraid that I will desert you, babe

Everyday
With every word whispered we get more far away
The distance between us makes it so hard to stay
But nothing last forever, but be honest babe
It hurts but it may be the only way

But we have not hit the ground
Doesn’t mean we’re not still falling, oh..
I want so bad to pick you up
But you’re still too reluctant to accept my help
What a shame I hope you find somewhere to place the blame
But until then the fact remains

Everyday
With every word whispered we get more far away
The distance between us makes it so hard to stay
Nothing last forever, but be honest babe
It hurts but it may be the only way

Everyday
With every word whispered we get more far away
The distance between us makes it so hard to stay
Nothing last forever, but be honest babe
It hurts but it may be the only way

Sharing Is Caring…NOT!!!!

Well, this particular entry is plainly my opinion regarding the issue. It has nothing to do with my recent experience nor i am referring to any recent event.

So, here we go:

Nowadays, lots and lots of people have their own blogs and many of them also run all sort of businesses through their blogs.

Sometimes when we spend some time looking at other people’s blogs, we can’t ourselves from asking, “Hey, this blog template is so nice, where did this person get it?” or “Wow, this cupcake baker uses very cool paper cups, wonder where did she get it?”

However, when we actually ask those people the questions, sometimes they seem very reluctant to answer…especially when they know we are running the same business like theirs.

Apparently, based on my own observation and my friends’ experiences, people aren’t likely to share ideas and tips with others who are doing the same thing. For example, online bakers won’t share resources and tips among each other.

Why is this happening? Why we are so afraid of losing our “periuk nasik”? Why are we so kiasu? Why are we so lokek ilmu?

These people who are refused to share ideas and tips with others are actually those who are NOT THAT GOOD in what they are doing. Trust me. That is why they are so afraid….because they know they would lose in the “competition”.

Moreover, these people clearly do not believe in qada’ and qadar. Rezeki from Allah are fixed and fair for each and everyone of us, so why being so kiasu about it?

Let’s stop being so kedekut about sharing our ideas and tips with others. Trust me, you won’t lose anything!

If the people whom we taught to ended up making more fortune than us, then it’s their rezeki, not ours. It is as simple as that.

So, let’s share and compare. Stop being so kiasu.

Have a good day.

Better Man – Robbie Williams

Love Love Love Love Love This Song!!! Nuff Said :-P

Enjoy ;-)

Send someone to love me
I need to rest in arms
Keep me safe from harm
In pouring rain

Give me endless summer
Lord I fear the cold
Feel I’m getting old
Before my time

As my soul heals the shame
I will grow through this pain
Lord I’m doing all I can
To be a better man

Go easy on my conscience
‘Cause it’s not my fault
I know I’ve been taught
To take the blame

Rest assured my angels
Will catch my tears
Walk me out of here
I’m in pain

As my soul heals the shame
I will grow through this pain
Lord I’m doing all I can
To be a better man

Once you’ve found that lover
You’re homeward bound
Love is all around
Love is all around

I know some have fallen
On stony ground
But Love is all around

Send someone to love me
I need to rest in arms
Keep me safe from harm
In pouring rain

Give me endless summer
Lord I fear the cold
Feel I’m getting old
Before my time

As my soul heals the shame
I will grow through this pain
Lord I’m doin’ all I can
To be a better man
